LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police officers arrested a 20-year-old woman for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend with a knife Tuesday afternoon.
T'Mari Sade Robinson, of Lufkin, is still being held in the Angelina County Jail on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. No bail has been set at this time.
According to the police report, LPD officers responded to a home in the 100 block of Shady Bend Drive at approximately 3:42 p.m. Tuesday. They found that Robinson and her boyfriend had gotten into a domestic dispute over her saying that she was leaving with their child when the man didn't want to do so.
Lt. Young of the Lufkin Police Department said Robinson told responding officer that her boyfriend had assaulted her first. However, she had no noticeable marks or injuries, Young said. The boyfriend and a witness both said Robinson pulled out a knife and went after the man.
The man had fingernail scratches on his neck and a shallow cut on his back that could have been caused by a knife, Young said.
