Woodville woman killed in one-vehicle rollover accident near Colmesneil

TYLER COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A one-vehicle rollover accident in Tyler County resulted in the death of a 38-year-old Woodville woman early Wednesday morning.

According to a Texas Department of Safety spokesman, the accident occurred on U.S. Highway 69 South near Colmesneil at approximately 4 a.m. The victim, Tiffany Louise Malone, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Tyler County Justice of the Peace Trisher Ford at 7:15 a.m.

The accident report prepared by DPS Trooper Michael Priest stated that Malone was driving a Ford F-150 north on Highway 69 when she lost control and left the roadway. The pickup rolled over, wound up on its roof, and came to rest in a pond.

The DPS spokesman said it is not known whether or not Malone was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
