If you're hoping to get a flu shot in East Texas more vaccine is on the way. Texas health officials are now planning to transfer vaccine from organizations with an extra supply and give it to other providers who have already run out.
The East Texas Community Health Center in Nacogdoches is one place hoping for a new shipment. The center has called off Monday's flu vaccination clinics at the Westside Clinic and the Senior Center because they don't have any more vaccine. Their vaccine went quickly when 600 people got flu shots at the Pineywoods Fair.
The state's goal is to match the "haves" with the "have-nots" and make sure as many high-risk people as possible get the flu vaccine.
