Nacogdoches man killed in 2-vehicle wreck

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A Nacogdoches man died after apparently pulling out in front of the path of a pickup on University Drive Sunday night.

Aston Lynn Rusk, 21, died in a Nacogdoches hospital at 2:24 a.m. Monday.

According to the Nacogdoches police report, Rusk was driving a 2000 Toyota four-door west on Pruitt Hill Drive and tried to turn south on University Drive at 9:40 p.m. He pulled into the path of a northbound 2008 Chevy pickup, driven by Carter Don Willmon, 20, of Lufkin. Willmon's pickup struck Rusk's in the driver's side.

Rusk was taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital, where he died.

Rusk was a 2012 graduate of Nacogdoches High School.
