NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Zach, the Nacogdoches puppy that had the life-saving surgery he needed for a fighting chance in life has died, according the S.N.A.R.R. (Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation) Facebook page.
According to the post, Zach survived his very risky surgery but crashed a few hours later and after attempts to revive him the vet said Zach was too weak and small to pull through.
Many people including 3 foster moms, Debbie Houchin of Nacogdoches, Debbie of Houston and Lori of New York played a huge role in providing Zach with the love and care he needed.
Zach was diagnosed with a congenital condition of the blood vessels of the heart which cause constriction of the esophagus.
Zach's first foster mom Debbie Houchin, of Nacogdoches used social media to find him a rescue group that would give him a fighting chance at life.
