ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Fire fighters from the Fuller Springs Volunteer FireDepartment battled a pasture fire in the Bald Hill area early Tuesday morning. The fire burned approximately 60 acres of land.
According to Fuller Springs Assistant Fire ChiefBobby Cranford, crews were called to a pasture off of FM 326 and an eggfarm road around 3:30 am.
"When we got here, the fire stretched about aneighth of a mile along 326," Cranford said. "We started by stoppingthe fire near the houses and road and then moved into the pasture."
The cause is unknown but Cranford believes it couldhave possibly been caused by wind starting up a small burn pile that could havebeen put out a few days earlier.
The fire was put out by 7:30 a.m. No injuries havebeen reported.
