NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Nacogdoches Police officers arrested a 25-year-old Ohio man after approximately a half-pound of suspected powdered cocaine was found in his vehicle as the result of a traffic stop in the 3000 block of Southwest Stallings Drive Thursday.

According to a press release, NPD officers stopped a 1997 Cadillac driven by Eric Jarman of Cincinnati, Ohio for a traffic violation. After Jarman started acting suspiciously, the department's K-9 officer, Hannah, was deployed to search the vehicle.

After Hannah alerted on the Cadillac's trunk, officers allegedly found about a half-pound of suspected powdered cocaine and a loaded handgun.

Jarman was arrested at the scene and transported to the Nacogdoches County Jail.

The case was investigated by NPD's K-9 and Street Crimes units.
