Crews respond to grass fire near Whitehouse

WHITEHOUSE, TX (KLTV) -

Crews extinguished a small grass fire Sunday after a burn pile got out of control near Whitehouse.

The fire broke out around 5:30 Sunday evening near the intersection of Highway 110 and FM 344. This is just south of Whitehouse.

Troup and Whitehouse firefighters responded to the scene. Officials say a burn pile got out of control and burned around 5 acres before crews were able to extinguish the flames.

No structures were damaged in this fire and nobody was injured.
