CROCKETT, TX (KTRE) -

Officers with the Crockett Police Department arrested the suspect in a Jan. 18 night club shooting incident that left two people injured. Stephen Bedford, 43, was arrested Saturday and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a felony.

Bedford has already posted a $30,000 bail and has been released from the Houston County Jail.

According to a press release, Crockett Police officers were dispatched to Margie's Club in the 200 block of Bell Street in reference to a shooting at approximately 11:16 p.m. When they arrived on the scene, they found the victim lying on a pool table. He had an apparent gunshot wound and was being helped by other people.

EMS was notified, and the man was transported to East Texas Medical Center-Crockett.

The suspect left the scene before the Crockett Police got there.

Further investigation revealed that there was a second victim who was shot in the same incident. However, that person wasn't transported to the hospital.
