POLK COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A57-year-old Livingston woman died Monday morning after her pickup left the roadway on FM 350 and hit a metal pipe fence.

Thewoman was identified as Lorie Ellinwood. According to the Texas Department ofPublic safety accident report information obtained by East Texas News Tuesday,Ellinwood was traveling south on FM 350 when she lost control of her 1998 MazdaB30 pickup.

Thepickup rolled over, and its roof hit a steel pipe fence. According to thereport, the Mazda slid along the fence for a short period of time. Picturesthat appeared on the PolkCountyToday.com Web site show the truck's roof wascompletely smashed in.

Ellinwood was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Itis believed that Ellinwood overcorrected, which caused her to lose control. TheDPS report did not indicate whether or not Ellinwood was wearing a seatbelt atthe time of the accident.
