NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

According to Sergeant Greg Sowell, Nacogdoches Police have canceled a silver alert for Leonard McNeely after he went missing Friday morning.

According to his grandson, Leonard McKneely suffers from early signs of dementia.

McKneely drove to Lufkin on Thursday and got confused and had to be picked up by his daughter.

McKneely left his home Friday before sunrise and had not been seen since.

"HE called into a friend, and the friend called the family about where he was," Sowell said. "He is safe in good health right now."
