TRINITY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

A Trinity man is in jail following a domestic disturbance in which he is accused of injuring his two-year-old child while assaulting his estranged girlfriend Thursday afternoon.

Constable Mark Cole said he was called to a home in the Lake L Subdivision around noon. He said the woman claimed Anthony Joseph Castellon, 24, pushed her down and assaulted her while she was holding their two-year-old child, causing injury to the child.

Cole said he investigated the incident and got warrants for Castellon's arrest and arrested him around 7 p.m. Thursday, at a home on Barker Lane.

Castellon is charged with third-degree assault family violence and state-jail felony injury to child. He is being held on a $38,500 collective bail.
