Parking and traffic restrictions for 2014 All-Star game

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - In anticipation of preparations for the 2014 NBA All-Star Game events scheduled for the weekend of February 14-16, 2014, the City of New Orleans announced the 2014 NBA All-Star Game Traffic Plan.    

Starting on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at 8:00 a.m., the following roads will be closed around the Smoothie King Center:

Dave Dixon Drive (Magnolia Street to Lasalle Street)

Magnolia Street (Dave Dixon Drive to Howard Avenue)

LaRouge Lane (Dave Dixon to the corner of Julia Street)

No thru - Howard Avenue (after U-turn area under highway overpass behind arena)

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome exit from the Pontchartrain Expressway will be closed as well, but will reopen Monday, February 10 through Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily to accommodate morning commuters driving into the Central Business District.

All roads will reopen as soon as possible after the event tear down, but no later than Monday, February 17, 2014 at 6:00 a.m.
