Hudson students learn the dangers of cyber bullying

Posted: Updated:

Some Angelina County students attended a very special assembly Monday to tackle an important topic.

Hudson ISD hosted the "Be Safe in Cyber Space" lecture series.

The event is used to show the dangers of sexting and Internet bullying.

Hosted by TBG Solutions, one of the main topics was demonstrating to the students how their actions now can hurt them years later.

"Job recruiters actually use social media as a background screening tool," Matt Tibbetts with TBG Solutions said. "Not only that, colleges and scholarship committees also use that as a background screening tool, so there is students all over the country losing job opportunities, losing scholarships, losing college opportunities because of what their posting, what their sharing, what their snapping, what their gramming."
