Trio charged in Larose double murder

Updated:

LAROSE, LA (WVUE) - Authorities arrest three men in connection with a double murder.

Lafourche Parish sheriff's detectives say convicted drug dealer Toronto "Tonto" Thompkins ordered his son Traveyon "Goo" Blackledge" and Jerrard "G" Major to kill 41 year-old Nikki Landry last year.

Investigators say Landry was the lead witness set to testify in a crack cocaine distribution case involving Thompkins last September.

Officials say 54 year-old Harry Lefort was at Landry's apartment at the time of the murder and was also killed.

Blackledge and Major now faces charges of first degree murder.

Thompkins was already serving a 30 year sentence for crack cocaine distribution.  He now faces additional charges of first degree murder.
