NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office deputy arrested a 30-year-old Conroe woman for delivery of marijuana following a traffic stop in Garrison Wednesday.
Brooke Shalee Johnson is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a state-jail felony charge of delivery of marijuana between a quarter ounce and 5 pounds. No bail has been set at this time.
According to the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office daily activity report, an NCSP was patrolling U.S. Highway 59 in Garrison when he stopped a Chevrolet Malibu for a traffic offense around 10:50 . Johnson, the driver, "showed signs of nervousness and deceptive behavior." The deputy also smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.
After the deputy did a probable cause search, he allegedly found 2 pounds of high-grade marijuana, or Hydro Marijuana, concealed in hidden compartments.

NCSO deputies made another, unrelated traffic stop at approximately 6:50 a.m. near the intersection of Loop 224 and Highway 21 West. The vehicle was occupied by Andre Elpato Davis, 40, and Rena Fontenot, 39, both of Longview.
The deputies could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and both people were acting very nervous. Both Davis and Fontenot are still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. They were each charged with three first-degree felony charges of possession of a controlled substance between 2 and 400 grams, and one state-jail felony charge of possession of marijuana between 4 ounces and 5 pounds.
