The rains came down hard and heavy early Sunday evening across portions of East Texas.
At one point there was a report from the Polk County Sheriff's Office that there was some street flooding in Corrigan, including the southbound lanes of highway 59. But, just as quickly as those waters rose, they receded on highway 59.
There was also a report that FM 352 East of Corrigan was flooded for a while.
The National Weather Service has said that some areas of Polk County had received three to six inches of rain Sunday evening.
There was some minor flooding in Lufkin, but police say that nothing was impassible.
A tree fell down right in front of a car, causing the car to crash into it near the Lufkin/Hudson city limits. Nobody was seriously hurt in the accident.
