TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police are currently searching for a wanted aggravated robbery suspect who fled on foot following on traffic stop.

Officials said a Tyler Police Department investigator was following 25-year-old Daniel Cobb around 7:45 a.m. after he was identified to be an individual wanted under an aggravated robbery warrant.

Officers were able to make a traffic stop in the northbound area of W. Gentry Pkwy. in Tyler. At some point as the officer approached to take Cobb into custody, he was able to get away on foot.

Tips received by officials lead them to believe Cobb stripped off his clothes and then ran into a wooded area, before jumping into a white SUV.

Police did pursue the SUV but lost it. Officials said they believe Cobb was then dropped off at another location.

Cobb has multiple arrests for burglary and assault dating between 2007 and 2010.

If you have any information, you are asked to call Tyler police.
