Cake Angels cake mix drive happening at Diboll High School

DIBOLL, TX (KTRE) -

Diboll High School students are hoping to be overwhelmed with cake mix in the coming weeks.

Why? Because they're hosting a boxed cake mix drive to support the Cake Angels organization in Lufkin who makes and decorates birthday cakes for children who might not get one otherwise.

Last year students collected more than 1,100 boxes of cake and are looking to donate even more this year.

Anahi Blee, a junior at Diboll High School said,"Just the fact that it's for kids. It's a really good thing to do I loved it last year was a really good thing to do and this year I'm doing it and I like it and just hopefully we get a lot of cake boxes this year."

If you want to help make birthday cakes possible to local children you can drop unopened, boxed cake mix at Diboll High School through February 21st.
