SURPRISE, AZ (CBS5) -

A Surprise woman who was considered an endangered runaway was found hiding in a drainage pipe Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Officers got a call from a realtor who had located Katie Stull, 19, sleeping in a tent in the backyard of a vacant home in the area of 17200 W. Tara Lane shortly before 1 p.m., said Surprise police Sgt. Mike Donovan.

The woman left the vacant home on foot before police arrived. Arriving officers conducted an intensive search and eventually found Stull hiding in the drainage pipe in the area of 175th Avenue and Desert Lane, Donovan said.

Fire personnel took Stull to a local area hospital for evaluation.

Stull disappeared shortly after midnight Monday in the 12700 block of North 148th Drive in Surprise.
