'Hope in humanity'

We join all of Nacogdoches County in our condolences to an El Paso Army veteran who lost her service dog over the weekend. It's a story we first reported on as just missing yesterday but learned today that the dog was found dead after apparently being hit by a car. At 6, Donna McCollum gets the reaction from the grieving owner, who talks about how the community offered an outpouring of support and what she plans on doing now.

Today is the opening day of the Pineywoods Youth Fair and we'll bring you LIVE coverage tonight at 6!

Also at 6, we continue our coverage of the March 4th primary with a preview of the Angelina County Pct. 1 county commissioners race with interviews from all three candidates.

For the past 10 years, students at Lufkn's St. Cyprian's Episcopal School have been bringing balloons, cake and even presents to George Clark, the founder of the school's library. Today was no different, as the loveable family man celebrates 104 years of life. Michelle Reed has the story at 5.

The Community Food Drive in Lufkin is special to some because of the large amount of people it brings together from all walks of life.  "It's just like so many different people, very diverse," said volunteer, Priscilla Gonzalez. "It's just kind of cool to see all these people coming together to do one thing." For others, like Keith Kennedy, it's all about the service being provided to the greater community. "They're in miracle territory,...More >>
