NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

A 28-year-old Nacogdoches woman accepted a plea bargain deal of five years of probation Friday for driving drunk with her 14-month-old daughter in the car with her.

Felicia Doster appeared in Judge Campbell Cox's 145th Judicial District Court Friday for a plea hearing. As part of the plea bargain, she pleaded guilty a state-jail felony charge of driving drunk with a child under the age of 15 in the car.

A Nacogdoches Police officer arrested Doster in February 2013. According to the police report, the incident occurred between 10:45 and 10:55 a.m. on Feb. 24. The officer observed a woman driving erratically as she pulled into a convenience store in the 3200 block of North Street. A witness said she also hit the curb on her way into the parking lot.

When the officer made contact with the woman, Doster allegedly showed signs of being intoxicated, the report stated. In addition, she did poorly on the field sobriety test the officer gave to her, and she was taken into custody at the scene.

Doster's daughter and her car were released into the custody of the woman's common-law husband.
