Lufkin Police: Henderson man kicks Angelina Co. jailer after threatening store employee

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A Henderson man is in jail after a store employee said he cursed at him and offended him.

According to Sgt. Mike Shurley with Lufkin Police, 64 year-old John Crow, appeared to be intoxicated outside a store, in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Drive, and was seen cursing at an employee and hitting a table in front of the store.

Shurley said while an officer was conducting a field sobriety test on Crow, he became aggravated and started cursing again.

It is also alleged that Crow began to spit on the officer while being taken into custody.

"Crow also threatened the officer on the way to jail," Shurley said.

According to Shurley, once Crow was inside the jail, he would kick a jailer in the knee.

Crow is being charged with assault of a public servant and disorderly conduct.

Bond has not been set at this time.
