NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

After a Nacogdoches Police officer was dispatched to the Daddio's Night Club on in regard to a traffic problem, a 26-year-old man resisted arrest and grabbed a deputy's testicles hard enough to cause pain Sunday night.

Marico Demonze Stotts, of Nacogdoches, is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on a third-degree felony charge of assaulting a public servant, a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, search, or transport, and a Class C misdemeanor charge of public intoxication.

According to the arrest affidavit, NCSO deputies were called out on a 911 call about a traffic problem at the Daddio's Night Club on County Road 122. When they got there, they found several vehicles stuck in the ditch and blocking the road way.

Stotts was one of the drivers stuck in the ditch. The affidavit stated that Stotts was playing music very loud, and when one of the deputies asked him to turn the music down, the deputy noticed Stotts swaying.

The affidavit stated that Stotts was uncooperative and refused to do a field sobriety test. When the two deputies went to arrest Stotts, he allegedly used force against them to prevent it, and he had to be dragged to the patrol unit against his will before he was forced inside the vehicle.

While Stotts was being put into the patrol unit, he grabbed one of the deputies by the testicles hard enough to cause pain.
