Nacogdoches business owners go to boot camp

Posted: Updated:
NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Some Nacogdoches business owners got a quick lesson Monday night in legal help when it comes to running a small business.

The event is part of a two day work shop put on by the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber decided to host the event to help small business grow and succeed based on their belief that small businesses help drive the economy of Nacogdoches, and legal help is one of the biggest issues facing these businesses.

"Any community, but especially small ones, I think small business and new business being created is critically important to the economy," Stephen F. Austin State University Assistant Law Professor Justin Blount said. "There are a lot of things you can do own your own to start a small business with a boot camp like this."

The latest business boot camp has one more session Tuesday night and there is still space.  Also, you do not have to be a member of the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce to go. The topic of the Tuesday night session is advertising and marketing.

For more information you can contact the Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce at (936)-560-3920(936)-560-3920.
