The kids at Emeline Carpenter Elementary were in for a big surprise this morning as former NFL defensive linemen Devin Wyman paid them a visit.
Wyman is now a motivational speaker, and the school invited him to help kick off their "Fuel Up for Play 60," program.
Wyman says he has had to overcome his own adversity in life and his goal is to challenge the kids to dream big, and follow those big dreams with perseverance.
"There are so many homes that are broken, but a lot of parents are working hard to provide," said Wyman. "We just try to bring an impact that will ignite the kids, and light a fire that other people can step up and keep it lite for these young people to have a great opportunity at life."
