NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nacogdoches Police officers arrested two men on a variety of felony and misdemeanor drug charges after one of them allegedly threw drugs out the passenger window of their vehicle before they were stopped for a traffic violation Thursday evening.
Tedren Linwood, 18, of Bevins, and Terrence Elliott Jackson, 25, of Jefferson, are both still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail. Linwood was charged with two second-degree felony possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams charges and a Class B possession of marijuana charge.
Jackson was charged with two second-degree felony charges of possession of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, a third-degree felony charge of tampering with evidence, a Class B misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, search, or transport, a Class B possession of marijuana charge, and two Class misdemeanor warrants from another magistrate.
Collectively, Linwood's bail was set at $21,500, and Jackson's bail was set at $25,500.
According to the arrest affidavit, Nacogdoches Police officers were attempting to make a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 3800 block of NW Stallings around 5 p.m. Thursday when the passenger allegedly threw drugs out the window. When the NP officers stopped the car and detained the driver, who was later identified as Linwood, they found baggies of marijuana and a substance believed to be cocaine near him.
A bottle of suspected PCP was found further back down the road, according to the affidavit. In addition, various other narcotics were allegedly found inside the vehicle.
