LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

In Longview, two restaurants were singled out for the most serious violations in the latest inspection period.

El Pollo Cachuchon at 1626 South Green Street had six violations in a March 11 inspection.

Taco sauce was held out of temperature,  and raw beef was held too warm, so it was discarded.

Corn tortillas were kept unwrapped in a cooler, while raw meat was kept next to cut fruits.

Also, the salsa refrigerator was not at the correct temperature. The restaurant got a total of 25 demerits.

Next, Tex-Mex Market at 2009-A South Mobberly Avenue had problems in this inspection. Stored foods were not properly wrapped or date marked.

Pans of pork and wrapped ham were not date marked.

Used gloves were found inside a cooler, and food contact surfaces were dirty. They received 18 total demerits.
