Noshville goes green for St. Patrick’s Day

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville landmark turned its menu green Monday to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day and benefit the March of Dimes.

Noshville kicked things off early with green bagels, oatmeal, pancakes and even green eggs and ham.

"When the customers first walk in, they're expecting the same leisure day. And we've got green everywhere and people kind of dancing around, giving them beads to put on," said manager Jay Young.

"All of a sudden you've just got everyone laughing and cutting up, so it's really fun for the customers," he said.

Half the proceeds from breakfast will be donated to the March of Dimes, along with half of lunchtime sales of corned beef dishes.

The donations mean a lot for families who have benefited from March of Dimes programs.

"We've had a miscarriage and a stillborn and a micro preemie and a then a typical pregnancy. So if it weren't for them, then these two babies would not be sitting here today," said Crystal Daniel as she ate with her two boys.

Noshville has held the March of Dimes fundraiser for a decade, and hoped to raise $7,000 this year.

Customers can also donate throughout the month at the delis on Broadway or in Green Hills.
