Armed man robs multiple people in one hour in Marigny

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Police are searching for an unknown man after multiple armed robberies happened over the course of an hour in the Marigny early this morning.

The first robbery occurred on the 600 block of Mandeville Street around 1:26 a.m., March 22. The victims were sitting on a set of steps when an unknown man stopped and pulled out a large, black handgun and demanded their property.

The robber was then seen on the corner of Dauphine and Marigny Streets about three blocks away half an hour later. He approached another victim and pulled out his gun and demanded their property as well.

Police describe the robber as an African-American man in his early-to-mid 20's, about 5'10" tall with a thin build, short hair, slight mustache and chin hair with a light complexion.

He wore a black hoodie with white lettering on the front and dark shorts.
