NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Police have named a suspect in an eastern New Orleans shooting that left one man injured as he was walking to a playground.

Investigators say Corey Moss, 18, approached the victim at the intersection of Wales and Redfish streets around 5 p.m. on Monday. He pulled out a handgun and shot at the man's head. Moss continued shooting at the victim after he fell to the ground, striking him in the leg and hand.

Moss ran away after the shooting, according to police. He is described as 5'2", 130 lbs. with a "Cross" tattoo between his eyes. His last known address is in the 7900 block of Sheephead St.

Police did not release a motive for the shooting. The victim is in stable condition.

If you have any information about the whereabouts of Moss, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
