SFA Men's Basketball Head Coach Brad Underwood finalist for Joe B. Hall Award

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

The season for the SFA Men's Basketball team is over, but the country can't seem to get enough of this team, and their first-year coach, Brad Underwood. Underwood is one of the 10 finalist for the Joe B. Hall award.

The award is named after Hall who had to coach after legendary Adolph Rupp. Hall ended up taking Kentucky to the NCAA Regional Finals.

Those similarities strike all too close to Underwood's after he picked up the Lumberjacks last year, and lead the team to go 31-3 overall this season, and 18-0 in conference.

He pushed the 'Jacks into an upset against VCU in the NCAA Tournament this year, making it the first NCAA Tournament win in program history.

The winner of the Joe B. Hall award will be announced at the Collegeinsider.com Award Banquet. The banquet will be held in Dallas, April 4th.
