Metro Parks Police accused in discrimination lawsuit

Posted: Updated:
NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Metro Parks Police sergeant has filed a lawsuit against the city, and if she wins she could be granted millions.

Pamella DeSotto claims she was discriminated against based on her gender and sexual orientation.

DeSotto has worked for the Parks Police since 1982 and says she has been the target of many park employees for years.

"For her it's not about the money. It's about being treated equal, especially for women that work with Parks Police," said attorney Ben Rose, who is representing DeSotto.

DeSotto is asking for a total of $6 million in damages.
