FORT WORTH, TX (KLTV/WFAA) - A Fort Worth teenager is the fourth person to die after a fatal drunk driving crash during the South by Southwest Festival in Austin on March 13.

WFAA in Dallas is reporting that De'Andre Tatum, 18, had been in a medically induced coma at University Medical Center Breckenridge since the crash, was pronounced dead on Thursday.

Rashad Owens, 21, is charged with capital murder after driving drunk and fleeing police. Officers believe he intentionally drove through barriers set up for the music festival at Red River and 9th Street.

Two victims died at the scene. A third died at a hospital a few days later.

Tatum was with his girlfriend, Curtisha Davis, when Owens allegedly drove into the crowd. Davis was also injured in the crash, but was released from the hospital on March 13.

Dr. Christopher Ziebell, head of the emergency room at UMC Brackenridge, expressed the seriousness of Tatum's injuries after he was transported to the hospital.

“These are some of the worst injuries that we see and not everybody with these kinds of injuries survives," he told WFAA.
