NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) -

Let's give a woof and wag for Rolf. He's a blonde 8-month-old Terrier mix with a perfect pup personality and loveable spirit.

"Very playful he'd make someone a good kids dog," said Theresa Jordan with the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter. "He seems to be friendly with everybody that comes out. He likes to romp and play and he loves his toys."

Rolf has been at the shelter since December and knows the right family is going to find him.

Rolf is still a puppy he's got lots of energy and would really need someone who would like to play with him and of course he loves toys.

"He wants to play and obviously he likes to chew his toys and if left unchecked he would probably chew shoes and things until he gets a little bit older. He is going to need some  training," said Jordan.

Just remember Rolf has spent much of his life in a kennel and gets really excited when people come to visit him. He just needs a few minutes to wind down.

"He's really friendly. I think when people come in and they're really wound up when they first come of their kennel they're a little bit nervous about taking someone home who has so much energy," said Jordan.

As usual there is no adoption fee for BFF's adopted from the Nacogdoches Animal Shelter.
For more information on how to adopt our furry friend Rolf, call 936-560-5011.

Also staff at the shelter wants to warns pet owners that Parvo virus has been spreading early this year due to wet conditions. The virus is almost always fatal. Please get your pets vaccinated.

Tar-covered tires stick to parking lot of Lufkin tire shop

More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
