LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A Lubbock man is now behind bars, accused of breaking into several cars at Legacy Play Village.

As we first told you last week, police have seen a spike in break-ins there.

Investigators have now linked Jose Carrizales to nine vehicle burglaries, five of which happened at the play village.

Authorities caught him late last week at the play village parking lot and say Carrizales could face more charges.

LPD representative Jason Lewis said, "Whenever these suspects do break into these cars and steal purses, a lot of times they'll use credit cards... Once this investigation continues, there's no telling what could eventually come of it."

Authorities say Carrizales also has been connected to vehicle break-ins at two gyms, a restaurant, and a chapel, all on the southwest side.
