Belt hits second homer in as many days in Giants' loss

PHOENIX, Ariz. (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt hit his second home run of the season and batted 2-for-4 with three RBI in the Giants' 5-4 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks Tuesday night.

Belt hit his three-run shot in the first inning, struck out in the fourth, singled in the seventh and struck out in the ninth.

He is in a three-way tie for the National League lead in home runs with two and is in fourth in the league in RBI with four.

He is batting .556 for the season.

Belt batted in the sixth spot Tuesday against the left-handed starter.

The Giants play Wednesday night at 8:40 p.m. at Arizona.
