Nacogdoches Boy's Soccer team prepares for Sectional Finals

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - It's win or go home for the Nacogdoches Boy's Soccer team as they are getting deeper into the playoffs.

They are now prepping this week for the Sectional Finals, as they enter the 3rd round of the playoffs.

This game will be all too familiar to the Dragons as they are playing University High School out of Waco, the same team that beat them out of the playoffs last year, in the same exact game.

However, Nacogdoches is not a team who is familiar with loosing.

They are back-2-back Districts Champions and haven't lost a single game yet this season, with a perfect record of 19-0.

They know going into this game will be a challenge, but it's one they are ready to accept.

"I anticipate it to be a really hard game," said Enrique Acevedo, a senior on the team. "Whoever makes the most mistakes is going to loose. We just got to stay focused from beginning until the last whistle. We have to play with our heart and soul."

"We say it's a time to once again test ourselves. They know they are good, and they know we are good. They always take our best shot," said Head Coach Farshid Niroumand. "We practice to win games and we walk with the intention of winning. There is no fear. There is just go ahead and do the best that you can."

The Dragons will play Friday at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. The game starts at 6:30 p.m.
