(WMC-TV) – With spring flowers and showers starting to make an appearance, Freebie Friday is full of lots of sweet things to do!

Saturday, April 5, Rhodes College is hosting a spring carnival for all elementary-aged children and it's going to be packed with free stuff.

There will be a petting zoo, bounce house, rock climbing wall, and a dunk tank. All kids will get a T-shirt, balloon, and food including hot dogs and cheese pizza. The spring carnival will go from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday, April 6, Checkers is giving away a free waffle cone with any purchase. This will happen all day at all Mid-South Checkers locations.

Also happening Sunday, Dinstuhl's will host an open house at 5280 Pleasant View Road. It will open up its candy kitchen to let you see how they make some of your favorite treats.

Walking through the kitchen, you will get a lot of free samples. Plus, WMC Action News 5's Lindsey Brown was told the Easter Bunny will be there, too. The open house will go from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday.

The Laurelwood and Germantown Dinstuhl's stores will also provide samples and lemonade. The store is offering a 20 percent discount on all purchases during the event.

Tuesday, April 8, is Free Cone Day Ben & Jerry's. Just visit the East Memphis location at 5007 Black Road from noon until 8 p.m. to get a free cone. Click here for more information: http://www.benjerry.com/scoop-shops/free-cone-day
