NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

More than five years after a man was killed in a Nolensville Road church parking lot, Metro police have charged the suspected gunman.

Raul Palomo, 28, is now accused of shooting Sean Lamont Holmes outside Tusculum Hills Baptist Church in 2008.

Police say the men had met there for a large cocaine deal.

Palomo had been in federal custody on immigration charges and now faces an indictment for first-degree murder.
