Belt hits 4th homer of season in nationally televised game

LOS ANGELES, CA (KTRE) - Brandon Belt hit his fourth home run in the first week of the season, going 2-for-4 in the Giants' 6-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers Sunday night.

Batting in the No. 2 spot, Belt struck out in the first and third innings,  led off the sixth inning with a homer to right and singled in the eighth inning.

He raised his batting average to .323 for the season.

His four long balls put him second in the majors, behind Mark Trumbo's five.

The Giants have Monday off and host Arizona in the team's home opener at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday.
