Rabbi Dr. Henry Hasson is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Pediatrics at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University, and also affiliated with Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. He was ordained with Semicha in 2002 from Yeshivat Pirchei Shoshanim.

Dr. Hasson serves as president of the Halachic Organ Donor Society and serves as chairman of the board of education for the Yeshiva of Flatbush. He was recently interviewed on Health Watch Radio by Dr. Jacques Doueck and answered questions from parents about symptoms children may have. Concerned parents have questions about headache in their chilldren and its possible cuases and what kind of testing is done. Many might be concerned about ADHD and whether the symptoms can be a different problem other than ADHD. For example, seizures can sometimes mimic the inattention in ADHD. Dr. Hasson explained on that program how seizures are diagnosed and treated as well. Some questions addressed related to potential side effects of medications for Epilepsy, ADHD, headache, etc.

Dr. Hasson patiently answered all questions related to pediatric neurological problems in that fascinating segment on Health Watch Radio.

One of his patients commented “I wish our other doctors were like Dr. Hasson, so kind to kids, with a realistic conservative approach about what they need. He listens & weighs what parents tell him, and doesn’t just go by testing.” Dr. Hasson’s Memberships In Professional Societies Are: Child Neurology Society (CNS); American Academy of Neurology (AAN); American Epilepsy Society (AES). Dr. Hasson has authored many publications on seizures and Epilepsy in peer reviewed journals.

Douglas Jablon, Special Assistant to the President of Maimonides Medical Center and active Board Member of http://www.alehfoundationusa.org/board.html Aleh Foundation is excited that Dr. Henry Hasson was nominated to receive this prestigious award.
