Belt goes 1-for-5 in Giants loss

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt went 1-for-5 with a single in the Giants' 7-3 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks in San Francisco on Wednesday.

Belt remains tied with Mark Trumbo for the major-league lead with home runs with five.

His single came in the bottom of the third inning. He also struck out in the first inning, grounded out in the fifth, flied out in the seventh and grounded into a double play in the ninth.

He is batting .325 for the season. Through the first nine games, he has not drawn a walk.

The Giants conclude the series with the Diamondbacks Thursday at 9:15 p.m.
