NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (News Release) - Following an ongoing investigation and an undercover drug purchase, Nacogdoches County Sheriff's deputies obtained a search warrant for a home on County Road 522 on Wednesday.
The deputies arrested a 42-year-old Nacogdoches man on drug and gun charges after they allegedly found 21 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a gun, digital scales, and other drug paraphernalia inside the man's residence.
Scott Allen McNeely is still being held in the Nacogdoches County Jail on first-degree felony charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance between 4 and 200 grams, a second-degree felony charge of delivery of a controlled substance between 1 and 4 grams, and a third-degree felony charge of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Collectively, McNeely's bail was set at $125,000.
According to the press release, the NCSO investigators obtained a probable cause search warrant after an undercover officer allegedly purchased drugs from McNeely.
The methamphetamine, gun, digital scales, and drug paraphernalia were allegedly found at McNeely's residence. Because McNeely is a convicted felon, he is not allowed to own a gun, the press release stated.
