Belt hitless in Giants' loss

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt went hitless in the Giants 6-5 loss to Arizona on Thursday in San Francisco.

Going 0-for-4, Belt did record his first walk of the season in the third inning.

He also flied out in the first, popped out in the fifth and in the seventh and flied out in the eighth.

He is now batting .295 for the season and remains in a three-way tie for the major-league lead in home runs with Pedro Alvarez and Mark Trumbo.

The Giants open a home series against the Colorado Rockies Friday at 9:15 p.m.
