SAN FRANCISCO, CA (KTRE) - Former Hudson Hornet Brandon Belt went 3-for-5 with two doubles in the San Francisco Giants' 3-2 12-inning win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday night in San Francisco.
Batting from the No. 2 spot, Belt struck out in the first inning, singled in the fourth, walked in the fifth, singled in the seventh, hit an RBI double in the ninth and flied out in the tenth.
His ninth-inning double came with one out and forced the game into extra innings.
He improved his average to .298 for the season and remains in a seven-way tie for the second-most home runs for the season with five.
The Giants continue the series against the Dodgers Wednesday at 9:15 p.m.
