CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) - A Kentucky man was arrested Tuesday night after Corrigan Police officers discovered 22 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.
Billy Williams, 31, of Louisville, Kentucky, is being charged with delivery of marijuana.
According to Officer James Hight, another Corrigan police officer pulled over a 2001 Chevy pickup that had a broken tail light.
"When the officer came up to the vehicle, he smelled marijuana and asked Williams to get out," Hight said. "Williams was nervous as he was questioned and then admitted to officers that he had 22 lbs. of marijuana in a box."
Officer David Hernandez found the marijuana hidden in a box inside the truck, Hight said.
According to Hight, Williams said he purchased the drugs in Houston and was on his way back to Kentucky to deliver them to an unknown person.
