ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) -

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety one man is dead after an accident on US 69 South of Huntington Saturday evening.

The accident report details that Geoffrey Woodrow Parker, 50, of Nacogdoches was driving his 2012 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer when he hit a cow in the roadway.

Parker went off the roadway and his rig overturned. He was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt, according to the report.

Details are still limited in another fatal crash that claimed the lives of two individuals Saturday night on US 59 near the Angelina River Bridge. DPS can confirm that two people are dead and that the northbound lanes were closed down for quite some time but the accident remains under investigation.

As more details are released we will post them here.
