KILGORE, TX (KLTV) - One member of the Kilgore Police Department has helped in many arrests, but he stands out from other officers... because he is a dog.

Jinto, a 5-year-old Belgian Malinois, was purchased in February 2011 from Four Winds Police Dog Center in Geffen, The Netherlands.

Along with his handler B.J. Burns, Jinto has assisted in numerous drug related, felony, and misdemeanor arrests.

K-9 Officer Burns started with the department in December 2007, and was promoted to K-9 Handler in February of 2011.

Both Officer Burns and Jinto hold patrol and narcotics certifications through the National Narcotic Detector Dog Association.
