YANTIS, TX (KLTV) -

An East Texas man has been indicted for aggravated sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl by a Wood County Grand Jury.

The Wood County Sheriff's Office said 20-year-old Joshua Michael Tutor, a Yantis resident, was arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by KLTV, Tutor had sex with a 12-year-old female around March 14.

On April 3, a deputy was sent to Yantis Independent School District to investigate a reported sexual assault. The victim and two of her friends were interviewed during the investigation. The victim told her friends that she had sexual relations with Tutor on the Yantis school playground.

Investigators also spoke with the victim's mother who said she had only recently learned of the allegations. She showed police a string of text messages between herself and Tutor.

The affidavit says on April 4, the victim told her mother that she and Tutor had sex on the school playground. The victim told her mother Tutor pressured her into having sex. Later that day, Tutor freely came to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, asking to speak with an investigator. He admitted that he and the victim had sex on a playground at Yantis ISD.

Tutor told investigators that he had sex with the victim. Investigators say he admitted that he knew she was underage and knew it was wrong.

He was being held on $25,00 bond for aggravated sexual assault of a child and $100,000 for solicitation to commit sexual assault of a child.

More than a few tar-covered tires are hanging on to the parking lot of a Lufkin tire shop.  On August 31, newly laid asphalt on Loop 287 started sticking to tires of those driving, leaving many of the cars un-driveable. As of Friday, the Texas Department of Transportation hadn't come out with an official cause for the incident, but that hasn't stopped over 600 people from filing claims with them.
